Lo Gulley-Hefflin

Co-Founder/Elementary Program Lead ( K-5)

Lauren ‘Lo’ spent her young life in Ridgefield, beginning her basketball career as a third grader on a community ed team.  From Elementary as a Tator Tot , to Middle school as a Rebel (before the evolution to Heron), then High School as a Spudder, Lo loves this town and has returned to empower the basketball community through a wholistic lens.

After a successful basketball career at Ridgefield High School, Lo continued her career at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA.  She was fortunate to play out her eligibility with the Vikings and became a student assistant coach alongside incredible athletes and coaches.  In Bellingham she met her husband Jordan who already had a fruitful career as a wildland firefighter.  Leaving Washington to live among the trees, Lo has been involved with basketball every step along the way.  From a middle school coach in California to High School coach in Oregon, Lo has let her passion for sport and mental health lead.

Lo recently completed her first year as head coach for the Girls Basketball program at Ridgefield High School and is contributing to basketball culture back in Ridgefield where it all began.

Our Story

We have always been involved in youth sports along our journey. Being a firefighting family has taken us on the road to many communities on the west coast. At each step of our journey, we have had the opportunity to engage with our community through youth sports. Athletics has become our conduit for helping young minds hone skills such as resiliency, humility, patience, and confidence. We seek to empower youth through sport.
